Until 2015, nasibak ako ng company na pinagtatrabahuhan ko pero sabi ng wife ko, I should not worry kasi we were pregnant with our first born. 5 years kami naghintay kay Sandy.
And sabi ko, when you hit rock bottom, there is no way but up.
Pero mali pala ako.
Kasi 3 weeks after, while giving birth to Sandy, namatay sya. 🙁
Ang totoo pala is when you hit rock bottom, you get dragged along the rocks.
Until you decide to make changes.
And that’s when I decided to give freelancing a shot.
Kasabay ng pagbebenta namin mag asawa ng ice candy sa mga public schools dito sa Muntinlupa, magpupuyat ako kakapanood ng mga webinars para matuto.
Eh kaso nga poorita, hindi ko pa kaya bumili ng mga training and that time, wala akong alam na mga malupit na trainings sa Pilipinas.
Until I got clients as a podcast editor pero ang totoo, taga tanggal lang ako ng “uhhhm” at “ahhhh” sa mga podcasts.
And first client ko, dollars agad. If tama ako ng alala, mga $40 per episode noon. Pero sobrang dugo ng tagal ko mag edit. Aabutin siguro ako ng isang episode ng mga 4-5 days kakaedit.
Sabi ko teka, dapat makahanap ako ng iba and that’s when I learned about UpWork and became a writer, later on a copywriter.
As I would close every new client, I’d start increasing my rates.
Hanggang sa umabot ako ng $200 per hour as a copywriter.
And that’s also when I started to invest in programs particularly coaching programs from abroad.
And dito ko din nadiscover ang ChatBots and Manychat. Through a webinar ni Andrew Warner, Chatbots was the next big thing sa internet marketing.
And I went all in.
Hanggang sa naging Speaker din nila ako sa conferences nila sa US twice.
And since then I have taught thousands of Filipino Freelancers how to use Chatbot Marketing and later on moved to experienced freelancers and help them become Million Dollar Filipino Freelancers.
Ang belief ko kasi is that we should be hired not just because we are the lesser priced alternative.
We should be hired kasi we deliver world class results.
And that is also why this podcast was created.
